Please tell me 0-60 time for a fairly recent WR450.

22 posts in this topic

I'm thinking of moving from a 250X to a 450. First and foremost, will the WR450 be able to wheelie in 5th gear STOCK? and second of all what is the 0-60 time of this bike? If it's not that much quicker than 5.5 (250X's 0 60 time)

I don't think I need to get one. I'm all about torque and power.

Cheers :D

I don't know what planet you come from but here on earth 450's shit all over 250's. :D

If you are all about torque and power what are you doing with a 250?

Get a Husaberg 650 if you have balls of steel.

Since when does the 0-60 time of a dirtbike matter???? I keep reading in all the MX mags that the 0-60 times of 125/250f class machines is around 7 seconds on dirt. How the hell did you get a CRF 250x to 60 in 5.5 seconds??? The B.S meter is off the scale with that one!! Unless of course you launched it on a street tire on VERY grippy asphalt. Like stated previously, 450s will shit all over 250s every day of the week.

Hey firestarter, is there a web site where I can see more of that pool player? :D

Regarding the 450, for wheelies, the issue is traction, not power. I have both a 250F and 426F, the power difference is pretty substantial, especially in the torque, and low rev climbing. The 426/450 is a much better hill climber, especially in loose dirt.

holy crap i have never seen so many threads where people want to know "how fast there bike will go", or "0-60" ,or "can this bike wheelie" just ride the damn thing as fast as you can and i guaruntee you wont be using the full potential!!!!!!!!

This question is obviously either a wind up or from some dumb young kid who knows no better.

Wheelies in fith gear?? Well I dont know of ANY bike that can do wheelies in fith due to power-it al comes down to technique.

0-60 who in the hel cares, again it mostly comes from technique i.e clutch use to control slip/wheelie.....

U can easily bounce a 450 up in 5th gear with stock gearing. But it wont come up on you.

My pool player's name is Ewa Sonnet,,, you will find a lot of pics and info on her if you goggle it. :D

Uh...sorry for asking.

And you're calling me a liar? It was on Dirtrider.com or something. They had a chart with the crf 450, kx250, yz125, and crf250R/X times on it and the crf 250 had about 5.6 or something.

Thanks firestarter, I found the polish beauty, what a quality rack. This thread was definitely worth it.

What was the question, a 450 doing wheelies in 5th? oh yea, well with Ewa bouncing on the bike, with that rack, she might tend to keep the front end down, so, it looks like your SOL in 5th. :D

What do people mean when they say pull 4th,5th gear wheelies? I could probably force a 3rd gear wheel lift out of my wr400 and that's probably the best it could do?

I can wheelie in 5th gear pretty easily because of free mods and fmf exhaust. I once pulled a 1/4 mile wheelie in 5th going down an asphault road, it was crazy.

i ride a CRF450...its stock and it pulls 5th gear wheelies extremely easily...obviously traction is an issue but given the right surface there is more than enough power to do it...i cant speak for the WR, however given how easy mine does it i would say there would be no problem...as for the 0-60 time im not sure

i know the thread is extremely old but i just thought i would give my imput

The way you phrased the title and question to the post suggests that you may be about 14 or 15 years old.

Go ahead, give us some info on who you really are. I think that may be even more interesting than the answer to your crazy question.
