TDC question / pic

According to my book my 01 WR 426 should have the "I" lined up with the two marks on the case for it to be at TDC. In looking in there there appears to be an "H" as well as an "I". What is the "H" for and should I just line this up with the mark after this "H" to be at TDC? :applause:

The "I" most likely is TDC and the "H" is the point of maximum ignition advance. In any case, for valve adjustment make sure that you are on the compression stroke TDC when all valves are closed.

Ah, some Joker at Yamaha was just wanting to say "HI" to ya! He knew you'd peek in there :applause:

Chas is right. The H is used when checking the timing with a timing light and the I is TDC. The picture looks just like my 02 426.

Did I miss something? (wouldn't be the first time) Take what off??

Sorry, I didn't do a very good job explaining. I had taken out the cams and put them back in 180 off of TDC. I went through last night and fixed it. I posted another thread regarding not having compression. Thanks so much for the help!!!
