Finally got around to taking pictures of my winter restoration project. It's a '99 400 with almost 8000 miles on it. Here's the goody list.

The bike has been complete for two months now and I still haven't ridden it. I bought an XR250 over the winter and have been toying around with it. I'm almost afraid to ride it .....I can imagine how I'll feel the first time I go down. ?

Hey, call it "the blast from the past". looks retro, very nice. I've always liked the yellow Yammies anyway! Kinda reminds me back in the day, went to my first supercross in 79 and the Kingdome to watch Hurricane Hannah clean up. The dome is of course, gone, demolished, so is Hannah, so is the yellow. ?

That yellow old school look is great... Reminds me of my RZ350 Roberts replica. I also have the revloc clutch and i agree it is a great product. I love how the clutch lever has zero pull. It feels like the only resistance on the lever is cable drag and the return spring on the end of the cable. Between it being so easy to pull and little need to use the clutch it really helps reduce arm pump. Great job on your resto now just ride it. ?

One Industries makes the kit, kit includes front and rear fender, shrouds and fork guards, they used to throw in a yellow number plate but don't anymore. They also sell the graphics which you buy separately. Graphics include tank, shrouds and swingarm.

They do not make them for the WR so you have to buy for the YZ. They also do not make the plastic kits for the older models (98's and 99's). I had to buy for a 2000 model which has different shrouds. I swapped the shrouds for white ones from Acerbis.

I've seen some other retro WR/YZ's in the past that look okay.. But the gold wheels make the bike look like a true old school factory YZ.. Excellent job....

The Yellow is sweet!! I was on the Yamaha site checking the 06 models and noticed that the new YZ450 is comming in the yellow, for an additional price of couse. Nice ride. Where in Colorado are you?? I have friends in Durango and Steamboat and try to get down there a few times a year. I would liove to ride the Yellow Machine for you if you are still afraid to scratch it up.
