Clutch/Shifting Problems

2 posts in this topic

As my original clutch plates started to age, they started doing the same thing as yours. I knew I was going to have to replace the friction plates soon.. So I switched from Honda HP 20w-50, to Quaker 10w-40 for the winter, then Quaker 20w-50 for the summer.. The problem disappeared, so I waited another full year before doing any friction plate replacement. I replaced them even though the clutch action was perfect.
