I just Converted my 650l to a 650r

You guys all said it can't be done......but I just did it. It took a little work, but I finally did it.

First I loaded the L into my truck, then I drove to Honda of Houston, and I traded the BFP in for a BRP. Man it was easier than I expected, and didn't cost too much.

Now the bike has way more power.

Too easy, and you all said it can't be done.

Is the new BRP uncorked...........If not , get r done.......... :D

Yeah you better prepare yourself, because once it's uncorked, it's arm stretching, seriously. Get ready for your forearms to get a workout, your grip will improve and become stronger. :)

So many people worry about HP numbers, but actually it's a good combination of both HP and torque, and of course power to weight ratio, that matter the most. The uncorked 650R provides an excellent combination of high torque, decent hp, and a very good power to weight ratio. In other words the thing accelerates! Quickly!

Sorry to be lacking in vocab. Convert XRL to XRR? BFP to BRP? what did you do, trade in the XRL for an XRR?

Like smashinz2002 said, people get to caught up in the numbers. There was a recent dirt bike test in which the 650R was filtered out early, due to it's weight, but out of all the bikes, it had the quickest time in the uphill slalom course!

screw all of u r riders, i have a 1998 xr650l, its got all the sweet hookups.......big ass tank, hot cam, yosh offroad exhost, 14/48 gearing, protaper bars, turn signal upgrdades, bark busters, ufo non dot headlight, and some new plastics. just as fast as any xr650r bitches!!!

this L vrs R shit is TIRED !!!

Damn people, just enjoy the sport, support our hobby, get involved in keeping our vanishing and precious riding spots open, and encourage new enthusiasts to enter our realm. It doesnt matter what size bike you own, what color it is, or what stupid model it is....lets get over all this BS and just RIDE !!!
