YZ master cylinder cooler

7 posts in this topic

Do they make a cooler that goes between the cover and master cylinder for the YZF450? Where can I get one?

Thanks,

Ga450

Yea I've seen those before. Looks like they would work best in motard applications.

The caliper is at the heat source; the master cylinder is as much as 3 feet or more away up a 3/16" tube. There is nothing that encourages the fluid to circulate from caliper to master cylinder, and the amount of fluid that actually gets moved in a disc brake system is very small. By the time the master cylinder got hot enough to need cooling, the fluid at the caliper would be much higher. It would seem to me that the primary function of anything designed to cool the master cylinder would be to extract money from your wallet.

Damn! What did you say? Do you speak Redneck? You confused the heck out of me. Oh yeah, thanks! I think I get it, I think.
