Not as nice as many in here, but here's my ride...?

Picked up my '86 XR600R cheap, it was ugly! Here's before and after...

It's got a fresh rebuild, with new crank, Wiseco piston and rings, fresh bore and hone, new valve seals, valve seats reworked, etc. Second gear was broken, so it got a "new" used tranny from another engine. It could still use a rear tire, but that one will do for now... ?

Here´s a few pictures of my new BRP. They are extremely rare and hard to find here in Norway, so I´m very pleased as I managed to pick up one in mint condition, only 5000 km on it. It came with both motard and enduro wheels, Big Gun exhaust, and HRC stage 1 kit installed. Starts easy, and runs great. I couldn´t be happier!

And ? Good or bad?

The carburettor is tuned in for the original exhaust, so it might not be optimal for the arrow.

I think the top-end became better, feels lik it pulls harder an longer in each gear. Might be that I lost som bottom-end power, but I really don't know for sure.

It gets 4/5, good finish and sound/power.

You have to rejet to bring the low end back.Try a 68S pilot and a 180 main(or bigger depending on the temp/other mods) as a start. You can ad the airbox mod and the Twin Air filter system (filter + screen), you prob. need the 70S than. If you want real modern world power install a Keihin fcr. :worthy:
