Nice.still working on mine got a bunch of goodys to install yet just ordered black carbon fiber vinyl wraps 4 the white plastic.Gotta remove snorkel after dave mods and jetting,fmf mufflr

Hey guys,

 

New member from the Netherlands. Just got my 1987 XR600R two weeks ago.

 

The PO rebuilt the whole thing into a Supermoto. 

 

Here's a short video of it running:

- Forks from a CR250, triple with the XR600 steering stem in there.

- 17" SM wheels, running a comp rain tyre up front right now, needs a change. Also, not very street legal and laws are strict here.

- Newer model swing arm, but its pretty loose in the rear. Kind of wanders at high speed. Needs a new rear as well, if that doesn't work I'll put a longer arm on there. I know the 17" front doesn't help.

- Rebuild engine from an XR and XL. Want to add electric start on this kick only, along with a battery for daily use.

- PO is a stainless welder an made a new exhaust from scratch. Higher flow with bigger pipes. Also made custom pegs, sharp enough to cut jeans and shins!

- New plastic all around

- New seat

- Renthal bars

 

Needs better lights, indicators (again, strict laws), new tail light, new tyres and a stiffer rear shock. 

 

Will replace all the plastic with handmade metal work. Same look, but steel and rougher handmade finish. 

Want to go from the double carb to single, auto-decompress and electric start (if possible and not super expensive).

 

My other ride is a 1978 Honda CB750 F1/2 (frame/engine) that has '05 ZX6R wheels, forks, swingarm and a full rebuild on the engine. Almost done doing that one.
