What am I doing wrong???? :) YZ 426 2002. Twice now when servicing my forks I have opened them up to find the plastic spring guide cracked in to little pieces, ( it is the long rocket shaped bit that slides over the damping rod ), why?? Please help, all info greatly appreciated :D

If the spring is loose it can crack the guide. Fork springs don't last forever, they tend to be shorter after a year or two of use than they are when there new.

You can put them in upside-down. They look wrong when installed correctly.
