Flywheel removal question

3 posts in this topic

I have received my Flywheel weight and I am planning on installing it tommorrow. Will I need any special tools to remove this like a flywheel puller? Also does any one have any installation tips that I should be aware of or may make my life simpler now or later on down the road.

You will need a puller cost is about $13 aftermarket. Have to be careful when screwing in, backward threads, very fine, and easy to strip. Other than that piece of cake.

The puller should be available almost anywhere. Dealers, parts houses, etc. The same tool fits 98% of the Japanese dirt bikes made after 1965, so look around if you don't see one at first. The one the Kawasaki dealer has will probably be the right tool.
