Anymore info on Al Frame YZ's

21 posts in this topic

I've read the info on the Cycle News website. I picked up a copy of the new Cycle News and there were only the same photos as the net, no additional info as promised on the website! Bogus!

One of our members on ATM who lives in Japan got these photos last weekend. There are some of the 250F and 450F prototypes. They had a plastic curtain around the 450F so no one could get a good look at them!!

I hope that is not what its going to end up looking like. Looks pretty shabby. They need to have a better look at the CRF. I also hope they dont choose to paint the frame.....its going to look crappy after the paint starts wearing off after a few rides. :naughty:

The paint on those bikes is to keep prying eyes away, I'd put money on the frame being bare like the smoker frames this year.

Chase is right (I hate saying that LMAO). Whent he 125/250 smoker alum frame prototypes were running around in Japan they had their frames painted too! Expect bare frames and nice graphics.

Sweet, as soon as one of those aluminum 450's hit the showroom floor in September(when the 06's are released) im loading up my 05 YZ 250 and trading it in for 06 YZ 450.

Anybody else like the new endcaps too? The old ones sure do make it look more of an YZ, and then new ones kind of look like the CRF, but still, I like the new endcaps way better.

NICE!

What city is that in Japan?

I wonder what they're hiding with the clear tarp?

The Kawis look good too.

I gotta admit the "non stinger" euro style endcap looks pretty clean. Its a good thing the YZ's aint gonna have the pea shooter baffle

Last year the specifications where released in the middle of June, so only a couple more months guys. The decision is going to be tough this year, but right now the nod is going to the crf. I can't wait to buy a new bike.

I was contemplatign going red, and I know this is a lame excuse, but literally pretty much eveyone has a CRF 450. Obviouslly this is for a reason, but I would rather be having fun on my unique bike.

I have a feeling these bikes are going to handle real we'll and we already know they are more reliable as crf's, but I have to admit the crf450 is a real sweet bike.
