YZ springs on a KX

Have an 01 426 that I just had the springs changed on. My buddy has an 03 KX 250 two stroke he needs .46's which is what I removed for .48's. Will my old .46's fit in his forks? I assume not but thought I'd ask.

I think the '03 KX has 48mm KYB (same as the 04 YZ) forks and the 01 YZ has 46mm KYB forks. The 46mm KYB springs will NOT work on the 48mm KYBs. Measure the lower fork tubes on both bikes. If they are the same then the springs will fit. I think you will find they are different.
