Clarke Tanks.....

I ordered my black tank late saturday night off the clarke website. It arrived while I was home for lunch today. Man what great service. :naughty: The tank went on very well. All in all it took about twenty minutes to do the complete change over. The fit was perfect. I am very impressed and I rode with the new tank tonight and was very very happy with the feel of the tank as it is a little different shape than the stocker. If anyone has been wondering about the Clarke tanks or company, go with them, if you get the same treatment as me you wont be dissapointed. :naughty:

I always praise them too, I did just order a tank for my sons YZF 250 and it took almost 2 weeks but only because they were in the process of making a bunch of new ones.

Trust me Clarke is worth the wait.

ya very high quality,i've wrecked(hard) multiple times with my clarke 2.8 with no issues. the stocker cracked after one wreck! :naughty:

NC, did you go with a Blue 2.8 or did you get another color? How did you crack the stocker, that doesnt sound fun. Did gas go everywhere? Rich what color did you get?

I run the Clear tanks because I don t want to take the cap off and look down to see how much fuel I have left.

Its all a personal favorite but I personally think the clear looks better than the stock blue but there are those who think clear is ugly.

To each his own :naughty:

blue, the stock tanks seem to crack from the outside(upon wrecking) and leave a thin skin holding the gas in,it happens under the shrouds so you don't see it until they're removed. i've seen the same thing several times now on stock yamaha tanks. kinda makes ya wonder how many people are on rolling time bombs:eek:

Thanks for the replies fellas. NCMM, man thats kinda scary. So should a guy just check it after good crashes or is there some kind of warning sign?

I have the "natural" Clarke tank on my bike and have been very happy with it so far. There was a minor problem with the fit, but a 1/4" piece of rubber fixed it for good. I would recommend them to anyone.

Clarke states that you have to buy YZ shrouds for the WR. Is that true?
