If I remember right he hit or got hit by a pickup on the road out of Randsburg. He got pretty banged out also.

Swingarm, subframe, silencer, frame, forks, maybe wheels. Wow.

He might consider just parting out and buying another when he's ready. This one may cost more to fix than it's worth.

Hey, I've got a bunch of spares lying around:

Spare WR throttle screw

Spare WR muffler insert

Spare WR muffler baffle

Spare WR AIS system

Spare WR fuel screw

Spare WR airbox snorkle

Let me know if you need any of them... :)

That's too bad about the bike. Hope everything works out for the best with it.

Matt

I'm interested in buying that engine, or at the very least the gears if he does want to part it out. what year is it?

Guess I shouldn't make fun of my friends misfortune :) But I just can't help myself!!

Moto,

It's a '05 with 181 miles on it. He collided with a Ford truck. He fought the truck and the truck won. He plans on rebuilding it - probably around 3k to get r done.

Thanks man, had to ask. From the looks of that bike, dude is lucky to still be on the planet. :)

:p WOW what the hell was the Ford doing on the road! Man for all of us who ride and enjoy life. Able to afford the toys we have and enjoy the freedom we have and the times we have had on them I am truly sorry to see such horrific pictures :) at least he is still here and hope is recovery is fast and he soon gets to ride again :)

I wonder how the rider survived that crash! :) The bike got totally trashed! :p

It really didn't look this bad after the crash. I tore the ass end off of it to identify the damage and unbind the bike. But you can see from the subframe how twisted the bike got in the crash. The frame only seems to be bent down where the chain roller is but not sure if someone could fix it right or if would even be the same again. Unfortunately, all the main components took the brunt of the damage. :)
