Bleeding Forks

3 posts in this topic

YZ 426 02, ever since changing the lower oil seals in my forks there seems to be a large amount of air build up in the forks when using the bleed screws, could this be an indication that I did not get all the air out when re-filling with fresh oil?? Thanks in advance.

It could be that before you changed the seals the excess air was escaping the bad seal. Now that you've changed them the air is building up. I definitely don't think that it's a big problem. The amount of pressure buildup varies with different air temps, barometric pressure, amount of time ridden,.ect.

No bother, cheers for that. Another quick one, when changing the oil seal would you recommend changing the slide washer at the same time, and if you didnt change this washer could the seal still leak??
