Fork question

6 posts in this topic

I let a friend ride my bike (I know am a fool :p ) and he dumped it in a rut :) ...Now when the front wheel is straight it looks like the head piece or the handle bars look to be bent to the right...How do I check to the straightness of the whole unit from top to bottom of the front end :) ...thanks for all the help

You fix that the same way you do a BMX bike. Have your buddy hold the front wheel between his legs and you sit on the bike and jerk the bars back straight again. How you do check for straightness? No idea. Eyeball it.

put the bike on a stand, take the front wheel off then put it back together or you could always beat it against a tree until it looks straight( I wouldn't do that!)

I think every one has used the tree method once before
