01 wr426 gearing?

3 posts in this topic

I've got an 01 wr426 that is road reg'ed, I'm running a 14tooth front and a 46 tooth rear sproket, I find that on the freeway I just can't get enough speed out of the bike, without having to rev the hell out of it, any suggestions on a gearing. I have supermoto rims and tires on in, not sure of the size of the back tire, but it looks much smaller than a dirt tire.

I run 16/45. I can cruise at 65 or 70 all day long. Keep and eye on the chain slider on the swingarm with the small rear sprocket.
