My 'O5 WR450 Mods List

With all the interest in mods for these bikes I figured I'd post what I'm doing to mine. I'm in the process of the following (most of the free mods are complete), with most of the remiaining mods being done at the local (3 bros) shop (time is not my luxury):

- #170 Main Jet / #48 Pilot jet

- Zip-Ty fuel screw

- Pulled exhaust baffle

- Throttle stop screw

- Remove air box snorkel

- Remove gray wire

- Removal of AIS w/ Lowedog's kit

- Race Tech 5.8 kg/mm rear spring

- Race Tech 4.8 kg/mm front spring(s)

- Scotts stabilizer kit w/ upper triple clamps and ProTaper bars

- IMS 3.1 gallon tank in Blue

- Devol radiator guards

- Hand guards

- WB skid plate

- WB Frame Guards

- WB disc guards

- GYTR pipe insert

- air box additional venting (cover replacement)

- GPS Etrex Legend with Tourtech etrex mount.

- Trail Tech Dash Computer

- Trick Dual Sport kit, plate, etc.

Sure, it's some extra bucks, but it's my toy. Looking forward to getting the bike back on the dirt again soon ?

can you describe the differences in performance after the changes - did you make them one at a time - if so in what order and what made the biggest difference. Thanks

First, made these mods:

- #170 Main Jet / #48 Pilot jet

- Zip-Ty fuel screw

- Pulled exhaust baffleS

- Throttle stop screw

- Remove air box snorkel

- Remove gray wire

These changes primarily opened up the power capacity of the bike. Most of the others are improvements or are preventative measures.... ?

That link looks like the 98-04 baffle the 2005 is differnet.
