Brake Caliper rebuilding

2 posts in this topic

Has anyoen ever done this before? I have to replace my piston seals and dust seals. Is there anything special I need to know? I am familiar with the caliper. The manual recommends using compressed air to blow out the pistons. Are the pistons going to fly across the garage?

I wonder how the Yamaha dealers are about stocking the parts?

I have done it, really easy. I wrapped the caliper in a towel before I blew out the piston.
