Seems way overpriced to me, especially if it's a vulnerable part which it certainly sounds like it might be. With all the machinist on this forum somebody should be able to produce these once the correct specs are known.

Yeah, that's about $100 too much, I realize there's some R&D involved but that seems a bit excessive. I would think about it if it were ~$80 at the most, until then I'll just use a step stool ?

I'm not asking about the price, I am just asking if it works. I am surprised that there is one being offered. I know several companies have tried to develop one and failed (i.e. zipty, kuba, etc.) I am just wondering if this thing is really a non-functioning ripoff.

Have you talked to them, I'am wondering why they are adament about not using it for competition. If its too soft couldn't you increase the preload and a few clicks on the dampning? And I wonder how the did it when no one else could.
