Poole,

I went thru the same thing with my wife and we ended up with the Honda 250EX. No clutch and very little maintenance as it has a drive shaft and no oil filter. Just check the air and change the oil and clean the air filter when necessary. It pretty much leaves me alone so I can work on my bikes. She's happy and she now likes Night rides too. Check it out. The only thing I did was richen the pilot jet because she goes so slow, I did not want the motor to over heat. It does start easier now too. Good luck
