How difficult to replace the top triple clamp?

2 posts in this topic

Okay, now I know that everybody here is wondering why I haven't checked my trusty Honda manual on this one...actually, my manual is packed away with my household goods, and won't arrive here to me in probably another month (the bike as well). So...I was thinking about ordering a applied upper triple clamp. Is this a difficult thing to swap out? Do you have to press any of the bearing races off/on anywhere. I've done just about everything else to a motorcycle, except take the triple clamps off...haha so I'm stumped on this one. It seems like a pretty straight forward deal.

Thanks!

It's an easy swap. Maybe a 15 minute job at most. Just make sure you have a 30MM six-point socket for the steering stem nut (80ft-lbs torque).
