Shocks: Ohlins vs. stock

1 post in this topic

Is there any advantage, other than cool factor, to putting an Ohlins shock on my XR600 versus just putting on a new spring and revalving my stock shock? I know Ohlins is a well respected name in suspension, but in reading the archives, I haven't found anyone who strongly advocates them for XRs. If you could get an Ohlins for the price of reworking the stock shock, what would you do?
