ready to throw my 03 450 in a dumpster

I had similar problems with my 03 i never take my bikes to the shop but i was getting real tempermental with it and took it to the yamaha dealer and had them re jet it and they ended up going up 20 sizes in the main and 10 on the pilot. I would have never figured it out on my own just trying to go up a size or two. It feels like beating your head aganst the wall so the money is well worth it especally if your wanting a crf. Maybe you should get a honda if you cant figure our this quality of machine.

All I have to say is... &%$#@!?!

Why don't you post your location, temp, elevation and type of riding and chaces are that someone else here is in a similar climate and can give you known-good settings to use as a baseline.

anybody want a YZ450 with about 10 hrs on it that pops and blubbers a little in the midrange? literally never crashed. all stock. looks mint. I found a CRF I want . located in Ny $3900

well time for you to get out of our section you red skinned traitor.

actually I will still have my TTR125 my WR400F and my DRZ400S so I guess I will be yellow blue and redskinned. thanks

last time i checked, high peformance machines are finicky, you have to know how to tune, every atmospheric change affects the mixture, if its a problem for you, maybe youd be better off with something more in your league. no point blaming the bike because you dont have a clue. when i bought my 426, i didnt have a clue, but i soon figured it out. now folk all around come to me for tuning...........so................read your manual, and get a clue, or buy a ttr125 or something that doesnt care about ambient stuff.

you're absolutely right those yamaha's are crap and the honda's are the way to go. so...how much did you want for the piece of crap?

Right, Yamaha sucks and all your problems are solved with Honda, Whipit! Look, everybody's selling their bikes, even Gonz is lettin it go. I'd like to help you too but I'm a bit far away. Get rid of it quick. Ride red and never shim it again.

Come on I never said it was a piece of crap and only jokeingly did I say i was "ready to throw it in a dumpster"

It is an awesome bike, I am just a freak about jetting I guess and the occasional pop in the mid really pissed me off. I didnt even give her a chance....but I went and bought a CRF. here is my Yamaha...for sale

Man, I was joking, no harm ment. Most important you are happy, cause it is your ride. I'm sure you like the CRF and I hope it will be one without valve issues. Post your reports (in the Honda forum).
