neutral sensor block off

2 posts in this topic

Does any one know how to take the neutral sensor off their bike.

When I was taking down my motor I broke a tab off of the sensor and I figured I’d make a billet aluminum plug at work if I could just take it off

yamaha uses some pretty tough lock-tite on those threads. it may take some heat to loosen them up. if you've already damaged the neutral sensor, you have nothing to loose. the heat will soften the lock-tite but it will grab again when it cools. take your time, some guys have broken the screws off trying to remove them.
