yamaha putting the alum. frame.......

on the yz450F for 06 or what.

no official word on that for a while now. They would never jeopardize the sale of 05 models by releasing that information now!!

In my world though an 06 YZ450F with aluminum frame and 218lbs is on the way!!

Shouldn't a new engine also be in the works? Not 100%, but wasn't the 400 used for '98-'99-'00, the 426 for '01-'02 and the 450 for '03-'04-'05? I know they are all the same basic engines with the oil in the frame. But, if the 426 was a slightly modified and improved 400 and the 450 was a major overhaul using a lot of 250F thinking, they could be due for some type of motor upgrade for '06. Also, since they had to consider the oil in the frame or not for the new frame, but didn't have time to do all the bikes, maybe, just maybe we could see an '06 with some lbs off the frame and some more on a new engine? The mind reels. One thing is for shure, management over at blue doesn't like quick and dirty decisions so maybe they want to save some for '07

Anyways, I'm fast-forwarding and rebuilding my YZ450 '03:

WR 5-cog box, silver powder frame, Zip-Ty fuel tank, Rekluse, Novation front and rear, Steahly mongo FWW, 18" rear, Hurricane plastic, SDG tall black seat, P-now + JD.

And, I'm gonna keep an eye on it but put 300 hours on it or till it blows.

I don't like waiting

Satch, were you out at Mosier last Sunday?

cool pics satch-looks like a really nice track, they race there or is it just a practice track?
