Oil Change

What would be the proper oil to use in my wr450f?

I live in an area where the temperature is mostly below 20 degrees celcius.

20 degress Centrigrade (oC) is about 68 degrees Fahrenheit. The Yamaha technical manual for the wr450F suggests 20W-40 Type SG motor oil at 5 oC and higher or 10W-30 at 15 oC and lower. I use Valvoline 10W-40 (winter) or 20W-50(hot desert summer) 4-stroke motorcycle oil, it has worked well for me for many years and is much cheaper than synthethic.
