I don't know of any kits at this time. You can buy a generic kit from Gas Gas ( check the dealer in Ar. Smackover) but I don't know if it can be made to work or not. Probably depending on your mechanical ability. The main web site is ggna.com.then go to dealer listing for Ar.

I put a Magura on my 00 650r, I made my own (adjustable) mounting bracket for the slave cylender and it worked great.

SRC should have the mounting bracket availible by it's self if you already have a Magura kit.

jpeters and TwinSparXR, How do you contact Wade Summers or SRC. I've done a search for them and nothing turns up. The hyraulic clutch sounds like a good mod.

Brought back from the dead! I got an SRC Magura clutch that came with my used 650R. It has never been mounted and didn't come with any documentation. I was wondering if there is anything involved in the installation other than removing the return spring? I've already read the tech bulletin at http://www.srcinc.net/html/101-02.html

Also, regarding the mounting bracket, the article refers to a custom one as TwinSparXR mentioned but when I called SRC he said it uses the stock mounting bracket. Does anyone know which one it is for sure? Has anyone else done this mod recently? I'd be interested to know what you guys had to do to get it working properly.

Do you have any pictures? I would like to make one.

I've had an SRC modified Magura on my '01 for about a year now. SRC changes the slave cylinder to mate up to the stock cable mount. Installation is straight forward. Make sure you DO NOT re-install the return spring as you will "fool" the Magura's automatic adjustment. The slave cylinder just rests in the cable mount. It isn't bolted or screwed to anything.

As far as the operation, I can't say enough on how nice it is to have the hydraulic clutch installed. No adjustment ever. Same engagement point and feel every time. The bike is a true two finger pull. The perch also has in intergrated decompresser lever and a nylon bushing that allows the perch to spin in the event of a crash. Very cool. A word of caution- You can't re-use the stock hand guards.

Overall, It's a must have. SRC is the way to go. They even throw in a syringe and mineral oil if you ever need to change the fluid.

VERY COOL!!!!

I have one from my 450 and I want to use it on my 650R. I tried it at first, the pull rod is about a 1/2 inch to short. Any ideas?

Sounds pretty easy. I'll tackle it sometime this week and see how it feels.

You can always send it into SRC. Before I knew my Magura had been reworked by SRC (previous owner forgot to tell me) I called him and asked him how much it would be if I supplied the clutch lever. He said around $60.
