I tried a search but did not find a answer.I'm looking to see if the stock header pipe from a 01 yz250f will work on a 00 yz426f? ?

I think you ment way larger. an by that you mean pipe dia?

I would think it might due to flow problems but if you had a ride day coming up an didn't have time to get the right pipe could you use it for temp?

Yeah, I did mean larger in diameter; not longer in length (although they probably are). I don't think a 250F pipe would work in a pinch. Someone with more knowledge than me could give you a definite. You would have some serious problems getting a secure fit and would rob the bike of power.
