cam timing help

yes

If you cam chain is skipping teeth then your cam chain tensioner has retracted itself, or your cam chain is worn. Neither are expensive to replace, but the repair if you dont replace will be expensive.

The manual does a really good job of explaining how to do that, but basically, you get the bike to TDC and line up the marks on the flywheel (in plastic hole by your left foot) and the cam. The marks are on the cam to show you where to line things up.
