De-carbon Combustion Chamber

3 posts in this topic

How long should it take to remove head and cylinder to clean the head and piston? Any special tips or tricks? Now at 6000 miles, I'm re-assembling it with 2 base gaskets to hopefully eliminate pinging on 91 or more octane gas...

if you want to do it properly you'll need a valve spring compressor to get the valves out. Nothing hard about the job, as long as you know how to do the cam timing etc etc
