motorcycle trivia

A TZ750 was a 4 cylinder.

I believe Jimmy Weinert was the first privateer to win.

1975 was the year they switched to left side shift, forgot the reason, something to do about United States legislation.

Okay, I've got one. There was a biker gang movie where they all rode dirt bikes through the desert. What movie was it?

Did Joel Roberts TM370 have twin pipes? IF not,Im gonna have to go in the Attic to get my old magazines.

VMax

Is this an old movie? I forgot the name, with Joe Namath and Ann Marget. Joe races for Kawasaki, stupid flick.

Anyone remember the motorcycle movie with Robert Redford? A classic saying came out of the movie, I was going as fast as I could and then I fell off.

2001 Aprilia Mille R

2001 Ducati 996s

2003 Suzuki GSXR1000

2001 Yamaha WR250

2001 Kawasaki KDX220

1974 Suzuki TM400

2001 Yamaha TTR125l, daughters bike

2001 Yamaha Beartracker Quad

Robert's TM for '71 did indeed have twin pipes and weighed 186 lbs.

Wyman Priddy is credited for being the first privateer to win an AMA National.

I'll give you a hint. It had Hells Angels in the title.

hells angels 69'

Back to the Terminator movies. Isn't funny how Hollywood takes a Honda XR 100 (the one the kid was riding at the start of Terminator 2) and dubs in the sounds of a REAL dirtbike (soundtrack of a 2 stroke) instead of using the real bike's sound. I've seen(heard) this in other movies and TV shows also. "Chips" used to do it often.

This sounds like a question for Dan Lorenze. Dan, you work in the Film industry, don't you? Can you provide some insight?

Burned, how did you know? It was on Speed about 2 weeks ago. I laughed pretty hard watching Hells Angels on Huskys ripping through the desert.

OK, there is another '70's movie where 3 or 4 guys (marines I think), who have never ridden a bike before, buy brand new Kawasaki 2 strokes (can't remember what models) to take on an outlaw gang that was responsible for the death of one of the guys sister. What was the name of that movie?

Can't remember the Hodaka, but who was the HA member who crashed into some shrubs/bushes while wheelstanding his chopper? He was a well known member of the Oakland chapter at the time

Another one; the Robert Blake movie where he plays a motorcycle cop was called ------- ----- -- ----? These are too easy.....

Steve McQueen had a huge motorcycle collection, what was his favorite brand of bike?

What actor who appears otherwise clean cut, has badass bikers as his close friends and riding buddies?

Another one; the Robert Blake movie where he plays a motorcycle cop was called -------

Electra Glide in Blue.

Are you sure it wasn't a 600R? It just seemed so tiny at the time.

I was just out of high school when that movie came out and everyone wanted the 900 Ninja.

I've seen this debated on sportbike sites to death. It was a 900.
