What year?

The 03 450 had a few probs with a grabby clutch, other then that...

Hold on!

from the looks of your signature, I am assuming that you are a trail rider. If that's the case, I would go with the CRF450. The YZ450 has a real harsh hit and a few of my buddies are selling theirs because it has no "useable" power in the woods. (I realize that that's debatable)

P.S. My buddies are both getting 05 CRF450's

ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL THEN A FEW RACE DESERT

Slow guys go slow on either bike

fast guys go fast on either bike

What color you like best

Both bikes have its pro's and con's I believe it to be brand loyalty at this stage.

The yz450 has a much smoother bower band in 05 from the rags point of view. The hit can be taken care of in a couple of ways, Flywheel or My recommendation a Rekluse Zstart clutch.

Outside of that Mer morals do not ride either bikes to its potential
