bent rim...

4 posts in this topic

I put my bike up on the stand tonight to change the fork seal and I noticed that I had a bent rim. My question is, should I try and straighten it or should I just leave it the way it is? The tire is not leaking air, so I am thinking that not messing with it would be the best thing. Thanks in advance.

There is a very, very slight wobble. You have to stare at it hard to see it. I think it should be ok.

I wouldnt worry about it, stuff like that will happen, You can try and true it up a bit if your comfortable doing that. But I would concider out of round and a signifacant side to side 1/4 inch to be bad
