ssr 125 clutch problem any ideas?

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a 125cc ssr pit bike that was in parts when I got it. I got it all together and running but the clutch wouldn't disengage. Figured I was missing something internally. Took it apart and compared to all the online videos I can find and nothing seems to be missing. Used correct oil. I'm not sure how these clutches work as it's my only manual. Do they use the oil to disengage the clutch? There doesn't seem to be any type of bar or push-rod that would do anything. Any help appreciated.

We just had one do that(Stall as soon as you let out clutch in gear).  Took it apart, couldn't find anything wrong, put it back together and it worked perfect.  I can only assume plates temporarily stuck together.   You have to actually start the engine to test it, otherwise it acts like it is still hooked up.
