Continental TKC 80 TWINDURO Dual sport tires

How do you guys like the TKC 80 TWINDURO DUAL SPORT tires on the new EXC's?

Just picked up a 2015 500exc and thinking of using them for 50/50 road/offroad

Get Dunlop 606 DOTs or similar for KTM500 if you plan to do any serious off road. . TKC 80 are for big ADV bikes.

They were put on the KTM dual sports for low sound in the EPA road tests.

IMO the kenda 270's are more a 50/50 tire , a lot cheaper too. I run the 3.25 front ,  5.10 rear

That Kenda looks good, Does it perform like a Trials tire? good in everything but wet grass and mud?

Well, for a streetable tire that offers some life, its about as good as it gets offroad.

My exc came with Metzler 6 days tires, 900 miles out of the rear till bald, about 1900 miles out of the front, been on the kendas ever since.

normally 2500 miles till bald rear, 5000 miles front ,   they are skiddish in mud unless very new (aides somewhat} , okay/fine in rocks, do well on pavement(dry or wet),  okay to good on dry dirt hard pack.

 

Those tires you posted, lean more to street imo
