Not even going to try to reason with stupidity

My bad. I didn't mean to imply that he was still relevant in 2014.

Are you implying JS can regain relevance?

No.  But anyone with common sense and knowledge of the sport knows that he was very relevant through 2014.   Then he had his 1 year ban, He came back in 2016 and we all know what happened.  But to suggest he would have sucked in 2016 is ridiculous.   No one knows how 2016 would have gone without the Dungey incident.   He looked good leading up to the main at A1 and was in second before he got plowed.   He was only one year away from the sport going into 16 SX when he beat Rocz in that video.  His skills were still there.

all the old lines come out..It's not about swinging...and there's no closet anywhere.  It's just saying what is. He's still fast top 10 fast minimum . It doesn't matter if I  like him or not. He can still win. What I do love is that guys say he's shit and down the toilet.. then he comes back and wins races.. supercross or outdoor motocross. That's funny to me. According to a bunch here he was toast years ago..and here he is.. still standing. We will see how he does.. but he's the only one beside RC with an undefeated moto season. It's hard enough to win once...and I love how everyone here talks the greatest game.. even if everyone's just playing around..  :ride:

Standing where? He hasn't shown up anyplace but an Instagram post and you guys are ready to label him a contender. He won't sniff top ten if he even shows up. He should stick with a press release. Not showing up at A1 shows he was full of shit when he said he was going to give the red plate one more shot. How many more times do you guys need to get shit on by this tool before you stop buying into it? It makes you guys look incredibly stupid.

He can still win at what? Chutes and Ladders? I know you aren't talking about SX or MX.

Not only can he not win, he has negative infinity chance of finishing top 5 in a SX / MX race ever again.

According to a bunch here he was toast years ago..and here he is.. still standing.

No he isn't standing, he's sitting on his couch. Are you giving him credit for breathing?

We will see how he does.. but he's the only one beside RC with an undefeated moto season.

Undefeated against the juggernaut Tim Ferry.

It's hard enough to win once...and I love how everyone here talks the greatest game.. even if everyone's just playing around.. :ride:

Holy crap, there is nothing closet about your JS7 swinging. You blasted that door wide open and pranced out in your best pink Prada.

Don't waste bytes on Red. He is just mad after what BBA did to him last year after he bet on JS7 and got wrung through BBA's trailer of love. They were actually arrested for snootin glue and trichloroethylene, and when the cops found them they were both naked in BBA's trailer laying on the couch together listening to Hanson "tunes" engaging in god knows what all.

Washed up my ass!!!!   Just like I've said, he had a good 13,14, missed 15 and would have had a good 16 too.    Racing is better with James out there.

He could always sell Autographed copies of this If his comeback doesn't work out  :excuseme:

 Whats that Chaconne is always saying ? Capitalism?

hmm.. I forgot about this Ken Roczen  JS battle for the win..

The difference between 2014 and 2017 for these two riders:

Roczen is A LOT FASTER NOW!!

Stewart can't finish races now!

I would also like to see Stewbert make a comeback. It would genuinely be cool. He would have to work harder than he ever has to do that. I just don't think he has that in him now.

But that wasn't near as fun as when you came over to the trailer and we played Cowboy & Big Chief while listening to Conway Twitty and smoking meth.

Again I say, James was fastest in his time, he didn't get slower, every up & comer got faster so they could contend.  If James was a hard working consistent top 10 guy he'd have a ride.  When the industry don't want you cause you can't put up results, knows you don't work hard, wants a contract that'll pay him to sit on the couch, it's over.  It's not the fans that spoke this year, it was the industry.  I realize both he & his fans have this wet dream of coming back & going out on top.  I'd love to run out & &%$#@! every hot 20 yr old girl before my dick stops working too but it isn't going to happen

Roczen is a lot faster because he's 22. When bubba was 22? Enough said there.

Stewart can finish races. And even if he couldn't, who cares. He's not the fastest nor the slowest in the field, but his accomplishments to the sport should allow get m to ride even if his best days are behind him.

Are you thinking his entire year went the way it did as a result of the Dungey t-bone?

Without a doubt.

So no doubt he had a concussion and I will admit I don't know how long those effects linger, but seriously he had "issues" all through supercross and into outdoors.  Maybe it was the straw that broke the camel's toe.  If so, hopefully his farewell tour will be circling the track and waving to fans rather than an actual race.  He may not be able to take another one of those blows to the head again.

Him coming into the season over weight and out of shape was Dungeys fault?

So if a fit drunk driver slams into a chubby fat guy... it's the fat guys fault because he wasn't fit? What kind of logic is that?

JS7 was getting ready to drop anchor about 2 laps after Dungey hit him. Dungey just sped up the inevitable. Remember how bloated James looked in the A1 press conference?

Here he is from 2010

Is there a certain amount of inactive years that have to go by before a race number can be reused?
Is that something they keep buying a permit for every year and if they miss a year it goes up as avalible?

      from the motokazie web site:
"Motokazie is pleased to announce that we have signed a 5 year agreement with the Scott County Fairgrounds.  Coming in the next few week Motokazie is installing new lights, new water system, new entrance and most importantly a new track!!!   The new design will have a wide motocross feel.   Signature big step down table tops, big sand roller section and improved soils.  Lap times will be a bit longer.  To help you visualize the following will remain:  Start Gate, First turn, Tunnel jump and finish line.   All other parts will be new! Season opener is April 22nd.  2017 tentative schedule is listed, we may have to change 1 date.  We are pleased that all fair races that you regularly attend are back on the schedule."

I'm pumped!  I was hoping they'd make a big track here, since it's very close to the west metro area!

Monster Energy Supercross: Detroit, is it time for change in Supercross?
The 12th round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross concluded in Detroit leaving behind some hard to ignore layout deficiencies on the Ford Field.  While the series progresses to St. Louis I find myself asking more questions about the overall structure of the series (as it continues to grow and become more mainstream) and less questions about who will or will not be crowned the champion.  At the pinnacle of Supercross why was there not enough dirt to cover the stadium floor and how did the stadium floor start peeking through after only 2 laps in the first 250 heat?  Is it time to look at different track building techniques?  Here are some different ideas :

Another series challenge is the need of updated timed qualifiers.  I would like to see the top 20 timed qualifiers split in the heats.  Rewarding the top half of the field, top 10 in each heat get a 2 second advantage over the other half of the gate, prevents slower guys from becoming moving road blocks.   The rest of qualifying should follow suit, if you don't qualify out of the heat or win your semi, during the Main event you take off in the second wave.  Again, this will reward the top qualifiers.  This will also give us the elite matchups in the front of the field, Dungey vs Tomac and the moving roadblocks like Alessi and Friese won't be in the way.  Every other major form of racing rewards fast qualifying.  This will also make the first turn far safer, and while it's cool seeing 22 of the worlds fastest 450’s funnel into a couple lines, the bikes are too fast and have outgrown the current starting procedure.  This will help keep the stars healthy and on the track, but still maintain the  entertainment factor.
The final issue in review is how quick the riders figure out the fast lines.  With dartfish and overlapping video these teams have taken out the guesswork of finding the fastest line.   If part of the track was not opened until the night program, riders may have more difficulty discovering the fasted line before the race has started.  Give the guys a hot lap and then turn them loose!  While this doesn’t seem to promote safety, it rewards riders who can learn new sections quickly, making the series more interesting as we will see different rider’s skills outside of dirt preference.  Also, the much debated “chase” format has been discussed and in this era of short attention spans, smart phones, and instant gratification we have lost the appreciation for a season long war.  If we want to attract a new generation of fans, we need to up the intensity and make sure the champion is not crowned halfway through the series (like Dungey in 2016), we can't count on Eli making it interesting every year.
These are just a couple things I feel need to be addressed for the future of Supercross, what do you think?  Should we add a shark pit or have riders change a tire for starting position? Let me hear your ideas.
