2009 Yz 450f throttle cable stuck

3 posts in this topic

So i got a new throttle cable for my bike and i just installed it and now i cant get the throttle to stop sticking and its starting to piss me off lol. Ive tried everything i could and its still sticking. I made sure the cable was the same before i installed it so idk what would be causing it to stick.

Is there enough free play at the throttle grip?

Is the throttle grip assembly positioned too far inward on the handlebar , causing the grip/throttle tube to rub the end of the handlebar?

I just looked at the cables and it turns out the new one is a little longer and thats why it was rubbing. So i just put my old one back in. Hoping it wont break on me lol
