Blue smoke after cam chain switch.

2 posts in this topic

2009yz450 blowing blue smoke after i changed the cam chain because it slipped off directly after purchase. Everything looked fine. compression was good. Maybe valve adjustment? There is a little black oil in the exhaust silencer. On oil change without filter swap i did over fill it my first time and it pumped out the overflow cam tube. Drained and refilled to exact. No more overflow. but blue smoke both times. maybe clean or repack muffler. idk

Probably oiled up the muffler when you overfilled.  It should go away after a bit.
