Where have all the WR450s gone?

I am looking for a 2004 WR450F. I have emailed 5 shops in 3 states and the 3 that have answered so far have no WR450s. I'm located in Tulsa, OK. Anyone know of a shop in the general area that has one for sale? Thanks.

any canadain dealer can get you one. we have lots up here.

:):D

Just bought one from Lake Hill Motors in Corinth Mississippi. Thats about 500 miles from Tulsa. I drove about the same to pick mine up. Cheap prices: Lake Hill Motors. They had two when I bought mine. Good luck

Thanks. That's the cheapest price I've seen so far. Found several for 5999.95

Did you check Road Track & Trail in Muskogee? You might call and ask for Troy and see if he could locate one for you. I know they could beat the $5999 price. Good Luck

My dealer Dreyer in Indianapolis has a 03 wr450 left going for $4,995. All you need is the 04 starter upgrade parts for about $250. to make it as good as the 04. :)

I live in Fortsmith Arkansas, and the dealer here said he could get me a 04 in two days. The selling price was just under $5600 not including tax.

basicblues, Road Track and Trail in Muskogee quoted me $6329.67 OTD. Trying to find out price before taxes and fees. Any comments on the $6329 OTD price? Good, bad average? Thanks for the comments.

Ouch! How much of that price would be sales tax? You might have to apply for a farm tax exemption.

Just for reference the 2003 WR 450F Dealer Invoice Pricing is as follows: List Price $6399.00 ~ Dealer Invoice $5409.00 ~ Assembly Cost $25.00 ~ Ready to sell Cost $5434.00 (which would be no profit for dealer) There's also a dealer holdback of 3% ($191.97) of LIST price which dealer has to wait up to 12 months after selling the bike to receive their holdback money. The 2004 models list for $100.00 more than the 2003 models but these figure would still be relatively close. Now you have enough information to see exactly what the dealer is making off the bike, how good of deal your getting and what constitutes a reasonable "dealer profit". Dealers certainly won't stay in business very long by selling bikes for the "Ready To Sell Cost" so now it's up to you to determine the reasonable profit you can live and be happy with.

All things considered the bike Indy mentioned sounds like a bargain...Good Luck

Okierider,

Shepps in Bartlesville has one for $5950.00+tax, and the dealer up by grand lake (Dick Lane) 5750.00+ tax, and both dealers had them on the floor as of yesterday. Hope this helps.

Todd
