06 WR450 Valve shim limits

 On the older tappet valve motors I always set the intakes at the loose limit due to the valves sinking into the head over time, I also set the exhaust valves at the tight limit, they get looser from carbon buildup on the under-side of the valve.

 

Do the shim motors act the same way over time?

 

Has anyone had the exhaust valves on the wr get tight over time?

Yes they do.

 

It happens, but not as often as an intake.
