'12-'15 WR450F Cooling Fan

Can any of you help me with recommendations and experience installing a radiator cooling fan?  Maybe suggestions, pros/cons, and some pics?  Thanks.

I put a Trail Tech fan on my '13 WR450f and it went on very easily and can be adjusted when  to come on & when to shut off. It also has a digital temp read out. It worked very well a couple of weeks ago up in the mountains. You may be able to do it cheaper on your own this is totally turn key.

Thanks for the help.  I am looking to buy one...my WR boiled over cause I ride too slow in rocky terrain.

I put one on and it stopped working. I suspect a bad connection and will troubleshoot this weekend, otherwise nice piece.

When it worked on initial install it cooled well.

Your bike can still seriously overheat with Evans. The coolant doesn't boil until 350ish I think, so you might not know your bike is overheating, but if you're running at 275 it is NOT good for the engine.

I use this stuff:

You might be better off just running a slightly higher pressure cap. I run straight antifreeze in three of my four WR450's. Almost using straight in my 16'. Probably as good as running Evans without the hassle.

To follow up on my post above. Trail Tech is overnighting me a replacement fan. Great service with no hassles.

Trail Tech seems pretty good. The only thing I thought was lacking was the installation instructions. My Trail Tech fan has worked well for me otherwise.

I have the trailtech fan and am happy with it so far. I agree that the instructions aren't great, though.

I added a posting in the link above with a trick at the end of the posted page. I used very small keyring 8mm wrench and I was able loosen/remove and tighten everything exactly the way needed to install the fan properly following the given instructions was causing damage to my radiator.

Jiggering things around in that area was just not working for me, removing all fasteners and re-tightening with the proper tools was the only way to go for me at least.
