Yes, briefly.

I rode SteveThe's WR (no ECU change) and BolinsJrPitCrew's FX. 

 

I already know the previous WR line intimately.

 

I know some serious ergo changes will be required for me, but I am used to that dance: 6'4" 260lbs geared up

 

Lowering the pegs will require some custom fabrication, but I think I have a few options for getting that done.

 

The rest is over-the-counter mod stuff for ergos.....and of course the MORE GDAHM POWER mods will be a-plenty....

The only thing stopping me is my health.

I can't seem to recover from rides anymore, and I am going to the doctor next week.

 

Every day I feel massively hung-over....not good....

I had the option and the 2k was worth it for me. I would have regretted it later if I hadn't. But I understand everyone is different.

Yeah not sure what you point is regarding a new 2016 otd price....

Well, I saw a leftover 2011 still on a dealer floor in early 2014, so...

Krannie,  Is $8,700 OTD including tax and title?  Or is it $8,700 + tax? 


 


I called around today and best OTD price I found including tax title and everything was $8,218 on a 2015, and $9,529 on a 2016.

2016's for 7999.00 is the going advertised rate, plus the dealer BS, plus tax and registration.

Tax and registration work out to be about 10%.

 

So, + 10% for tax and basic prep = approx 8790.00.

You can get $8900 otd from just about any dealer, once they know you are serious.

 

You will not get any real pricing info over the phone.

No salesman in his right mind will tell you the final selling price until he can qualify you in person to determine you level of comittment, and your ability to pay.

 

You won't get a real number until you go into a dealer and say 'I am ready to buy today, I already have a low price, and I would like you to beat that price or match it, because I would rather have you as my dealer."

 

One of the other tricks I do is to pre-pay for parts and maintenece materials, to get a lower price on the bike itself....usually a discount of 20% is built into that prepaid amount too....

Telling them that $500 will be paid in advance towards Tires, Oil, Parts, Accessories, etc, really makes the Sales Manager perk up and know you are serious.

 

I will spend that amount the first day, easily, on radiator braces, handguards, HD tubes, Tall seat, GYTR ECU and Tuner, etc etc anyway....

Went to a few dealers around Vegas today - out here for a few weeks for my job - and saw a '16 WR450 for the first time. Just sitting on it, you can instantly tell a difference in where the weight is (or isnt, really) compared to the 07-11. Even just moving it off its kick stand before even swinging a leg over it, it's very noticeable. I bet it's awesome to ride. Me likey. There was a YZ450FX right next to it...that's going to be my biggest decision at some point here.
