Oil leak - Wr450f 2004

3 posts in this topic

The bike is leaking oil from where the arm connects to the engine case.

I've replaced bolt and O-ring.

Still leaks... Why, and what to do?

Thanks.

It looks like from the photo that someone overtighten the bolt.  It looks a little off centered.  There appears to be a small crack on the arm itself.   Maybe replace the enitre oil arm assembly.

I had this on my '05 after I did a rebuild on it. My problem turned out to be the dowel pin. It was hard to see at first, but the dowel had split from top to bottom.
