New To Me 2006 YZ450F

Just bought an 06 yz450f.  I can already tell this is quite an upgrade from the old 2001 yz426f that I had.

Is there anything that I should look out for on this bike?

It seems to have been maintained extremely well and has a lot of aftermarket upgrades such as full exhaust, Rekluse clutch, steering dampener, fork bleeder valves, axle blocks.  Also, the head was just rebuilt by a local shop with the paperwork to prove it.

Great year, great bike

You will find that the air box of the '06 is an exponentially dirtier place than the '01.  If you like your engine, you can keep your engine, but only if you clean and re-oil the air filter before every ride day.

Hey Gray, do you have any tips or trick to help keep the air box cleaner? Pre-filters, closing the fender gap, etc ?

Ride in front.  :excuseme:

It doesn't gather chunks of stuff, and water pretty much stays out.  It's the dust.  Comes in with the air, and keeping the air out is kind of counter productive.
