Shock charging tools/No loss air chucks

2 posts in this topic

I have decided to bite the bullet and get setup to nitrogen charge my own shocks. I got everything together finally today and found that the no loss air chuck I bought doesn't quite seat with the schrader valve on my son's 12 YZ450. The cap on the shock has funny configuration. Anyone have a particular chuck they have found that works? I used a regular tire chuck, is that good enough?

Probably good enough, but you'd be surprised at how much pressure you can drop on the disconnect, even if you pull off quick and clean. It's a really small volume. If you can disengage the chuck very quickly, add another 10 psi to get close to what you really want to end up with.
