YZ450 Ti spring clips

3 posts in this topic

I bought the spring installed the 2 rubber clips, one on each end, rode the bike checked and they are gone.

Are they glued in?

Are they REALLY needed?

I am guessing you are talking about the TI SHOCK SPRING.

No they are not glued.

The rubber bumpers are to keep the cut coil ends from compressing and compromising the first full coil it would normally press together when fully compressed.

Suspension tuners all agree this is one of the main reasons springs rates fluctuate over time (due to pressing together)

They are there for a reason, precision suspension consistency and are needed for spring rate accuracy and longevity. Can you ride them I am am sure but to what impact it will have on YOUR setup is unknown

I have two rides on them and dont know when they popped out.  Hopefully not long enough to mess them up.  Didnt realize Ti was so finicky.  :)
