2014 Skid plate

5 posts in this topic

So I just did about 35 miles of whoops with lots of rocks and realized I lost my aluminum skid plate. If that isn't bad enough it pulled the threads out of the two front mounts. Any recommendations on a brand that DOESN'T use the factory mounts?

I stripped out the front nutserts on my '14 WR and just went and got some of those nut clip things and used 1/4"-20 bolts instead. No more problems. Of course, if you wanted to, you could use metric stuff instead. https://jet.com/product/detail/66c483b456be407689e0d77118267849?jcmp=pla:ggl:hardware_a3:hardware_accessories_hardware_fasteners_nuts_bolts_a3_other:na:na:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&k_clickid=e2d81aea-7fc3-40fe-84a2-24885fa07137&gclid=CjwKEAiAy7SzBRD_lv7quOnr6XUSJAAOLkW6BOgZsCnqwYpU2ddbdvwJ_PbHGHNQSupcPTRYNJN8yxoCe2Tw_wcB.....It's no problem for me though.
