01 yz426f cam replacement with 08 yfz450?

i have an 01 yz460f  and was reading that there is a auto decompression cam one can install to make it easier to start. I have a cam set from an 08 yfz 450 with the auto decompression on it. Opened the bike up and put it in, but it does not seem to have done anything... still a leg breaker when you kick the bike over.... anyone know if this simply dosent work? is the decom in the right place for the bike? or are they not compatable? fit like a glove and chain when on fine. i will be double checking to see if i miss timed it but i think its all correct. any tech tips for the two cams? can also shoot me an email at jake    18181881   at aol   .com
