Exhaust polish

3 posts in this topic

I polished my yz400f exhaust with metal polish and was wondering if it'll say clean and shiny or if it will burn off, cause those headers get very hot.

Remove any leftover compound with solvent, or it will stain when it gets hot.

The can is aluminum, and it will require fairly constant repolishing to remain bright, even if not used on a muffler.  Won't turn colors like steel, or brown like stainless.
